I’ve noticed the opposite. Brand Manager positions that require 8+ years experience WITH a MBA, and pay that’s the equivalent of an Account Sup. It’s a joke.
we are the other way - flatter than a pancake. managers typically have 10+ years of experience and all make well into the 6 figure range with bonuses and would easily be directors at any agency.
Lots of juniors w/ senior or even ACD titles here. I’m at a loss, I don’t get it
That should be the rare exception and not the rule. Let alone that little experience be listed on a job description. Yikes!
Great... now I’m over qualified to be a CMO. Guess it is time to go be a lumberjack.
I've seen the opposite more so. It varies a lot. The role I'm moving into client side asks for 3 years experience but I have 8 and it pays very much at my experience level. I feel like most jobs I saw were like that - asking for 5-8 years when they really wanted (or got) 10-15+. Then again, I've also seen some ask for 5 that are really more entry level.
