Anyone who was in litigation and made the move to in house (funds)?
Did you regret your decision or was it the best thing that ever happened?

Currently in litigation and I have been given an offer to an in house position, but unsure if it’s for me. Any advice?

Best thing that ever happened! Much better WLB. I have time for hobbies now. Lit was such a depressing place to be, for me. I only fully realized it after I left.

I left after 8 years in BL so I was able to negotiate the pay. You might have to take a paycut if you are more junior.

like

Best. Decision. Ever. The WLB is way better, working hours are at least half of what they used to be, no billable hours, no shitty clients to deal with, no nasty opposing counsel or incompetent judges. It's the best!

Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I have all the data to do this, but wanted your thoughts. Would the output of this be relevant to you?

For example we need someone with great copywriting skills and also need someone who is great at digital marketing. This person doesn’t necessarily need to have both skills but if they did great, but if only one, great too.

Boutique or big 4?

I'm currently an ops manager at a big 4 in London and received an offer from a small boutique firm with 25-30% pay rise.

I'm also in the process with Accenture but I feel like I'm not sure if I'd jump just for the money but also change in environment.
What type of things would you be asking yourself if you were in my shoes and debating to jump ship?
