Anyone with a Masters feel like your application is automatically rejected because the company knows they can pay someone else less? Everyone seems to "be impressed" with and has "carefully considered" my resume (15 years of learning and development experience), but it's getting ridiculous how many rejections I'm receiving while being overqualified for 99% of positions. My resume has even been professionally reviewed and updated. I'm using cover letters, too. Thank you for reading my rant.

Hi all! I have an opportunity to work for a tech company as a l&d specialist. They are quoting 70-75k. But I have 8 years experience. Does that seem like a fair number? Sounds low to me but I wanted to check.

I’m noticing that a lot of recent graduates at my job don’t know many basic computer skills (ie. Copy and paste short cuts or how to use the Microsoft Suite at all). I’ve been tasked with creating trainings to teach them these skills but it’s concerning to see how this new generation is starting to lack these assets. What happened? About a week ago, my McKinsey employee (who referred me) received an automated email saying that I had moved to the pre-screening process of the recruitment process and that I'll hear from the recruiter shortly.
