Hoping to get in touch with #Peraton recruiter! I have about 9 months left in Air Force where I work in cyber defense and vulnerability management, have a BA in cybersecurity, sitting for CISSP and have lots of certs. Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.

Maybe you can aim for a little less pushy, but still confidently you? If it’s starting to weigh on you or causing friction, there’s no harm in dialing things back a bit to find a style that feels authentic and sustainable. You don’t have to start a fight to show you’re effective. Sometimes letting your results do the talking works better. Own your energy and channel it positively!!
Maybe it is time to tone down the swagger and turn up your advisor skills? Make a goal to listen more, strategically direct a conversation toward the win (using your inside voice), and build relationships instead of busting through the door.
If you're loud and pushy, I'll hang up in your face, or walk away. The best salespeople don't have to be aggressive to get a sale.
Yeah, I agree with you. I’m polite person, I’ll tell a salesperson to f*** off if they keep pushing. No time for that.
Don’t start a fight at work.
If what you’re doing works for you and you feel that was a compliment, then accept it as such.
Change if you want.
BUT DO YOU MAKE MONAAAAAY
Always remember to be successful in sales long term you have to be a listener and problem solver, customers will tell you what they need, but you have to hear it. Momma said I had two years and one mouth for a reason Forrest
Are you number one on the board? Do your customers/clients care?
Do you work at a car dealership or something?
If you’re successful and outperform your peers, don’t change what you do. Most sales guys I worked with GOSH they are so pushy! But they sure do close those deals. But there is also a value in being a good listener- you want to find out what your customer’s problem is so you can solve it with your product.
Here's some advice: Know your product, and you won't have to push anyone into buy it. Remember the charisma of Billy Mays? Ron Popeil? Sell something worthwhile, and you won't get complaints.
Sounds like the highest compliment that can be given for sales and I’m sure commission matches it… I’m not a talker but still need to do some sales and I always envy people who just don’t take no for an answer (with clients 😐)
Maybe ask someone objective and see why people are perceiving you that way.
