Will I get hike this year? Been in same band for last 4.5 years any chances of promotion to 7B ?

For a top Producer of 3 years, is it appropriate to now ask for a raise in my base pay? Base was 42,500 when I started, but now inflation + 2 children later the base pay barely gets me by. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

This morning I was trying to get feedback from him on a business idea and his response was: Maybe you should focus on your career since you didn’t get a job in finance and had to settle for consulting, and you work at Deloitte... it’s a sweatshop. They didn’t even give you a fast track promotion did they?

This is a regular thing and it’s the fucking weekend. I could use a break.

AWS vs Cloudflare BDR roles

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

AWS has prestige but is it worth it?

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

Does BNP APAC does background verification before sending offer letter or after sending the offer letter?

I have not been asked about the educational certificates yet.

They have only asked the PAN, PASSPORT and Current employer salalry slips and promotion letter.

P.s - I have recieved the offer letter now.

I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years). I know this is meager, but I'm mostly ok with it, I just want to see some recognition. On the other hand, it's hard for me to imagine negotiating because (given my inexperience), I don't feel I'd be able to do better anywhere else. Any advice?

Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

Hey folks. Question for the majority of us still under the big 3 holding co’s...are raises a thing anymore? I’ve been at my (smaller) agency almost 5yrs and got one raise (a nice $12k bump) during that time—is that sufficient? Is one increase in that span normal? I also recognize being somewhere 5 years is rare these days. The honeymoon period at any agency seems to be 2.5—3yrs before bolting. Not complaining, just asking. Have y’all been getting raises/bumps in any kind of regular cycle? Thx.

Hey does anyone know the GSAP Comp on year 3? If 1st yr back is 165k, with 10% yoy increase (raise + bonus), 3rd yr would be at least 200k? Can anyone validate this?

Has any companies given their employees good raises to help with the rising costs of everything? I was a top performer and only got around 3% this last year.
