Yes, but having difficulty finding non-clinical opportunities

Yes! I’ve been looking and looking for possible non clinics positions but I’m not sure really what I would want or where I’d fit

I work with great people. Really can’t say anything bad about my firm in general either. But…I still dislike the entire premise of law firm life, the billable hour, etc.. I’d love to work in a law school setting as a counselor or something but I can’t afford the pay cut. *sigh* Does anyone feel like being a lawyer is just doing homework all day? First world problems I suppose. I’m very thankful to have a job ❤️

Any other loan officers in here? I'm trying to decide if I should dig in with the current market or look to pivot. I've only been a loan officer since 10/2020. So this is my first rough patch. The style of leads my company provided was different than what they have me doing now. It went from hot inquiries to cold call center calls. My wife makes good money, but I don't want her to carry our finances for long as we are a team. What jobs could I look to pivot to if I pivot? Thanks fishes!

Hello Fishes,
My wife worked in a pharmaceutical manufacturing industry as a QA Officer. Due to maternity complication she took approx. 2 years gap for her career. Meanwhile she learned few courses like PV, CDM, Clinical Research.
Here my question, now she want to start her career again with her new skills in CDM, PV.
1. Which one will have growth CDM or PV?
2. Does they consider earlier experience because she had a gap.?

Waiting for few suggestions and if any reference 😊

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

Additional Posts in Occupational Therapists

I am an OT practicing at a Pediatric Outpatient Clinic in Illinois. I have 15 years of experience with Peds and certified in both Sensory Integration & Feeding Therapy. My current pay is at $75k. I am looking into negotiating my salary soon. Any tips on how to do so? What’s a healthy $$$ number that I can start the negotiation with?

Anyone here a DOR? I have an opportunity to oversee a therapy department for a transitional care facility with independent, assisted, sub-acute, LTC, and a memory unit on sight. They are looking to hire 9 additional therapists to make up the team. Seems like a good opportunity as it is with a non-profit hospital organization contracting into the facility. Is it too much to ask a home health company for someone to shadow/orient? I was just hired PRN and that was something I asked for during the hiring process and the recruiter agreed. Never heard back and it’s been several weeks yet keep getting texts from the schedule if office to see patients. Is this typical for home health or a red flag? We need to unionize and hold more leverage for pay. There’s no reason we should be managed by contractors and large scale companies. Not only is it unfair pay, but it’s bad for our communities. Can you imagine your local car ‘mechanic’ operating under the same structure..
