How to check bench ageing in Virtusa?
Wipro Hi fishers, need a suggestion urgently. My wife Joined Wipro on 12th of Jan 2022 but till now didn't got any project. Stream is SAP Functional. Now she's holding an offer letter from Cognizant with a good package but problem is need to join by 19th of April. Is there any way to give spot resignation in Wipro? She's currently on bench.
Hi all.
Has anyone in IBM been on bench for more than 4 months here?
I have been on bench for almost 4 months now & have been getting automated mails asking me to get assigned to a project by searching one by myself, else necessary action might be taken.
And are there any chances of being straightaway fired based on these automated mails?
I would genuinely need an advise from someone who is aware of this kind of situation.
Thanks in advance

You have to lateral to the firm they left
On a more serious note, if you’re actually considering lateraling, I would recommend speaking to a more senior lawyer (senior associate or partner) with whom you have good trust and communication. Tell them, basically, in more polite terms than this, “this guy is driving me crazy, if I’m not able to get off his matters I’m probably going to leave.” I’ve seen this work for stars where they get a partner to “block” for them, even one going as far as to call back an attorney that tried to assign them something (for the problem partner) saying “you’re not to call X.”
If they like you, they’ll help. If they’re not willing to help, you know your future upside there is limited anyway.

This is the answer
Once you’re in it you’re pretty much stuck along for the ride whether his matters take weeks, months, or in some cases a year or more. You may get lucky and get taken off of it if you schedule a vacation of 2 weeks or more that happens to fall during a key deadline on the matter. But that’s hard to time as you need vacation scheduled in advance and communicated a long time out. In those cases I often return and have been replaced.
Surest way though is to either finish up these matters with him and get away from him for new deals or to get out of the firm. I hate to tell you this, but getting off of his matters will just make you look bad and put a target on your back unless you’re one of the rare “star” associates who is indispensable. But try this at your peril. Most associates who think they’re star associates may be good, but they are not necessarily at the level they could pull this off. Saw a friend get burned that way by upsetting the wrong partner.
I used to work at a free market firm and you could basically never get off your legacy deals as long as you were working there.
