At Booz, does PTO carryover if you don’t use it within a year?

Hello, I have accepted an offer at a competitor company and sent in my resignation letter. My start date is 5 weeks from now so I put in my end date 4 weeks from date letter was signed. The manager said I had to leave the job in 2 days and the company can only play 2 weeks of work. Is it normal how they do that?

What are the benefits they provide if we have to work from office at Bangalore.

Anybody ever regret moving from B4 to a start up? Just because there’s so many less perks (lots of PTO, fun events, etc)?

So my work has unlimited PTO -global company. I'm based in uk and line manager is in USA. he said I'm taking to much time off and has brought it up with upper management. I have taken in total to date 22 days with 8 (4 include an operation) more to go. My performance is above target. I just feel blindsided.

How much stock do you put on benefits? I have two offers with stark differences in benefits. Job 1: role I want, but benefit sucks (2 weeks paternity leave, 20% coinsurance). Job 2: role is okay but higher level and great benefits (16 weeks paternity, 0% coinsurance, 5 more days of vacation). Total comp is the same though. I wonder if I should just focus on role but Job 2 is a large company, so I can move around after 2-3 years I’d expect. Thoughts?

I want to buy a large TV for Cyber Monday but have always been lower income. I would feel bad having family over with an expensive TV. I don't really need it. Our house is still very much low budget. I haven't made any real upgrades since getting a new job.

Is this a weird rationalization or logical? I am kind of torn so I considered just using that money for a vacation and maybe buying a TV next year... though I'll likely do this again at that time.

Which is best? A law degree or a master's in international relations? Those are where my interests lie. Is Federal/Public Sector consulting fulfilling work? I'm at a tier 2 consulting firm right now focused on retail clients, and I just feel like there is zero point to this work. Its all about increasing sales of a product that people could easily live without. As an Associate, I just move boxes around on PPT slides all day. Looking for better WLB and fulfillment in my work, thinking that might be Public Sector work.
