At what age is it no longer acceptable to wear a backpack to work? Or is it based on level?

Mid level atty in a fast moving case. Earlier this year jrs brought on the team to help lessen work flow. Both partner and I delegate certain tasks, esp when we’re super busy. What happens if what the employee said is slanderous and a “he said/she said” situation?
