AXP is better for lounge access, though CSR is probably a better value overall.

Another option is to get the corporate version of the AXP, especially if your firm expects you to put all your travel charges on your corporate card. I have the Corporate AXP and the CSR.
The Corporate AXP has most of the same benefits as the personal (I don’t think as many lifestyle ones), and is remaining at $550. It also will be exempt from the upcoming admittance policy change at Centurion Lounges.
Whatever has a better welcome bonus!
CSR has a 100k welcome bonus (as of last week when I referred someone), but I’ve heard people switching over to the plat
Platinum is only worth it if you plan to use all those new benefits it comes with since they just increased annual fee to $795
That's ridiculous
I need to downgrade before my renewal
I got 125k welcome bonus with the platinum with a referral code !
Look up Amex Plat Resy Offer, I think keep that for a year and see if you’re getting more than $700 value out of it; if you have Amex corporate card you’ll get a $150 off the next year you renew. In a year maybe close platinum and open CSR
Good looks. I chatted them and they enrolled me in the program. I asked if they could retroactively apply the credit and they said they’d look into it and then disconnected the chat 🤷🏻♂️

Why not both??
Usually getting them at the same time isn’t ideal because you get similar benefits across the same time frame. By spreading out these welcome offers you can get a longer runway for benefits.
Another, but usually less impactful, point is that you have to spend a certain amount on each card to get the money. I think CSP was $4k in 3 months?
I have both. I like the Amex for purchase protections and the travel perks, but CSR wins for points accrual. Need to see if it’s worth holding onto the Platinum given the new fee increase. It was easier to justify at $550 but now I’m not sure.
