I got a call from the Google recruiter about my L7 em interview Google She said I did overwhelmingly good on all interviews except one had mixed feedback on a system design. No surprise because it was not a good interview. The recruiter said i had a choice to go to hiring committee, give referrals they could call about my system design or take another system design interview. I’m not confident about the system design because of the bad experience I had with the previous interviewer. What should I do?
JPMorgan Chase recruiter from Poland has reached out about a role in the UK and has tried to call me from a polish number, but can’t hear a thing during the phone call. She then messages me on LinkedIn to say she will call me in an hour due to having connection issues.
Does this sound legit?

At PPMD it’s all about the business you’re bringing in. Their interview process isn’t someone grilling them on “how do you manage a team in difficult situations”. So if they have the experience to say oh yeah I bring in $xM of business every year from Y companies and here’s how (expertise, people they know etc) then they should get a look. Keep in mind that if the firm already has a Partner someone for whom that practice is a goldmine they might not want another Partner coming in

We might surprise you. I’ve done so many projects at this point I can pretty quickly sniff out what is going on with companies with a sample of the data. You have seen similar patterns before. Where I would probably fail is outside my industry.

Probably tbh. Interviews are mainly about casing and storytelling - if you're a B4 PPMD that's literally been your bread and butter for like a decade at a much higher level. Even the biggest dumbass who barely scraped through a B4 interview as a junior would be good at this after 10 years of repetition.
I've never worked at a B4 though so maybe my assumption is off 🙃
Edit: this is assuming in your hypothetical that a PPMD for some weirdo reason is interviewing for a junior (EM and below) level at MBB, which is kind of wtf of a hypothetical

I was an enabling area manager in marketing at Deloitte and passed McK’s interview earlier this year / got Associate Partner offer. Never had done a case study in my life before then. Feel like the talent market dictates how hard the interview is and who passes the interview…in my experience, clearly they were willing to take anyone at that point in time 😂
