Best ways to stay entertained on the road? Sometimes when I’m bored on the road I have to remind myself about why I love my job and why quitting wouldn’t be a good idea lol

Podcasts or audio books, I used to do delivery for Peloton, on the road 10-12 hours a day. Also some comedy standup sets, you could literall be laughing your ass off while driving.

Just stay safe though.

I love listening to music on the road, it's the best way to keep me entertained without losing focus, in some cases I use audiobooks.

One of my tricks is to plan ahead and bring along a few snacks that I can munch on in between meetings or car rides. That way, I can make sure I'm fueled for a productive day, no matter where I am! Other than that, taking the time for some deep breathing exercises or yoga can also be great for calming down and staying focused during long days.

Podcasts, spotify, and language learning material. There are a lot of great podcasts for beginners of a new language. It's a fun little challenge that keeps me engaged.

I know the feeling of getting bored while on the road, but it’s important to find ways to stay entertained! One way I like to stay occupied is by bringing audiobooks or podcasts. They help keep me distracted from a long drive, and I also learn something new in the process.

I like to appreciate my surroundings. Take a break from driving every once in a while and explore places you've never seen.

I have been offered a position at a non-US B4 with a 2 year path to partner. The KPIs seem achievable and I’ll be in charm school to help build support within that timeline. Most of me thinks a 2 year path under these circumstances realistic but my inner skeptic is jaded. Considering joining a small 50-person company as the only attorney (prior attorney is retiring). (I am currently in-house at a F50). For others who have done the same path, what surprises did you have when moving from a large company to a small one?

For example, it sounds like I should not expect a document management system, based on a prior post in this bowl. I’m guessing expenses like state bar fees and cell phone are not reimbursed.

Any advice on things to expect (or not expect)?

Hi, I have a couple of possible opportunities moving forward in my career. Currently I am an administrative coordinator at a university handling a specific area with a helping hand in multiple others. I’m about to have a opportunity to be a procurement assistant in the same office. I also likely have an office manager opportunity in a small IT cybersecurity business. The other pending slight possibility is a assistant property management. I would appreciate feedback on the different career paths
