Cleared Accenture Skill interview by answering almost all the questions and received congratulatory mail for HR round and submitting all documents. Then after a week received a call from HR saying that due to some technical issue, the skills round will happen again and an online assessment was set up. In the assessment, questions which were not directly related to the profile were asked and then a rejection mail was received. Does this happen a lot?

Strategy& fish - i’m currently recruiting for org strategy. Ive talked to associates (in the healthcare practice) and theyve mentioned that it doesnt matter whether youre in corp strategy, org strategy, etc and that you’re pretty much pooled by industry when it comes to staffing.
Can someone confirm this? Also, what do you expect the restructuring to look like?

Maybe share something you didn't get a chance to share that makes you look good.
I mean, I really wouldn’t worry about it. Earlier this week someone posted a graphic of their absurdly named spinoff groups, and today one of their employees is asking if he/she should dispute a charge related to passport photos. Not sure it’s cracked up..
Won’t impact the offer either way, no need to mention underperforming, but regardless, professional to send it
Don't sweat it, there's always Bain and McK. Learn from this.
Just send it. Don’t highlight your shortcomings. Might inadvertently tank a review that wasn’t as bad as you thought
Was just super nervous and seemed very uncomfortable then messed up some easy mental math because of it
It happens to everyone..for an internship at KMPG ended up tearing up in the interview with a Partner trying to hold in a cough (the rolled down my entire face) so crush your weekend and get back in it
Ps sorry to hear it! 😓
Send the email. It’s a courteous thing to Also, interviewing isn’t easy- no one likes to reject candidates who have worked really hard to prepare. As an interviewer, it’s nice to know that my time was appreciated, even if the decision was not to hire.
Definitely do the professional thing regardless of performance, and don’t evaluate your performance in the email though, that’s their job
Send the email don't mention the flub up. They've already discussed you
Don't mention the bad performance. No good will come of that. Only downsides.
Who knows, maybe you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself. I’ve thought I bombed many interviews and presentations only to find out later I killed them
I’m not really interviewing elsewhere. To be honest I’m trying to leave consulting but would have taken the BCG position because of the prestige so that’s why I’m not so upset about it. I’m looking into other industries that i might be interested in and trying to get out of financial services. And I got the right conclusion but it took a lot of guiding and I could tell from their faces I had made too many errors
My interviewers were principals btw
Bombed how?
