- Currently in a staff augmentation contract role for a company owned by group of investors
- Group of investors said they want to “potentially” hire me and flew me out to see them
- Company hired a person with similar skillsets to backfill the need that I was fulfilling
- Still waiting to hear back from group of investors with 60-ish days left in contract
- Both company and investor said they would “extend” contract if I want

Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. Don’t want to drive 700 miles per week M-F. What will dual model be like going forward? 1-2 times week, 4-5 month? Seems like tax was more flexible than audit pre-Covid

We’ve been attending a church for about 6 months now and trying to decide if it’s our church home. The only reason I’m hesitant is because people don’t seem to engage with us as much as I expected. For example, I told the pastors wife about a serious diagnosis we recently received and she did pray for us on the spot, but no one has reached out to us at all to check in. Am I expecting too much?
