Can a boss move me to a different school and then say that if I talk to my previous coworkers or students I will “have action taken against me” when I am not a sex offender, criminal, or anything close?

What??? On what legal grounds could they possibly prohibit you from speaking to a former colleague? This sounds incredibly fishy to me. Do you have a union rep you can speak to?

like

My rep says it’s wrong and I am being mistreated.

Well, there are two parts to that question, with very different answers.

First: whether they can move you from school to school depends on the district and your contract. For example: when I worked in Missouri, there were 4 High Schools in our district. You applied to/were contracted with the district (not the school), so they could move you around as they pleased.

However, I can't imagine that they have any legal right to tell you who you can/can't talk to. Especially outside of school hours. If you have friends on that staff that you want to hang out with on your own time, they can't really do anything about it.

Thanks in advance.

How do you deal with a manager who expects 3 months of work overnight? I have tried structuring , creating a plan to show him how the activities are being executed. However, he seems to be someone who turns around every other hour to ask ‘Is it done’? I am usually pretty good at managing expectations but having a hard time conveying how unreasonable he is being. Despite being organized, I am coming across as scattered and jumbled since I have been working 15+ hours with no food and break daily

Does anyone else constantly get mistaken for a nurse? I get it, I'm 5'4 and Black and work in pediatrics, but the assumption and casual racism is kind of ridiculous when the actual nurse has just told you that the doctor's coming and then I walk in the door. Doesn't really help when I'm one of the only Black on-call physicians. Annoying.

Let’s talk about wrongful termination. The other day I was fired in the middle of the day without any warning. My colleagues called me because they were confused on why the Talent Manager dismissed me from the chat. I didn’t know what they were referring to. So I called my PM to ask what was happening, and she said that she just got off the phone with the TM and said they were terminating my contract on the spot due to me speaking up about micromanaging. No explanation just kicked out. Advice?

Okay so, its been a while since I've been seeing this in Linkedin:
The Job requirement says its Entry Level, but the experience it requires is always 6 year+... like how would a fresher match that.. should I've started coding at 6th grade or what?

I understand that it's a way of "SEO" in LinkedIn but it just discourages us freshies.

Actually not sure if this post belongs in this bowl but.. it is what it is?
P.s. I still apply to these because what's the worst that could happen... right?

Question to Leadership!
1. You are calling all the employees in the office & just providing lunch? That's all for completing 150 years?
2. You would ask questions, and whoever is able to answer it, you will give some merchandise only to them?, And the other people are not your employees?
Why are you even organizing it? You think people would come from far places just for lunch?

I got an email last night from a 7th-grade parent because her son said I mentioned the words "male privilege" in class, and she is very concerned about how that is related to ELA (she said "reading"), and she is concerned about this being taught in public schools.
