Can anyone recommend good parenting resources? I have a daughter who just entered middle school this year and we are battling with defiance that's really impacting several relationships in our home. As we start to encounter more challenging situations through these years, I want to parent effectively and trust that she will listen and take into consideration what we are trying to teach her.

Perspective: monogamy is anti-human nature; in this era where each parent could raise a kid independently, marriage tends to be a shackle on many aspects of life. We live once, why does society expect us to live with 1 person for 60+ years? No wonder divorce rates are through the roof!

Does anyone else struggle with their significant other not understanding the nature and demand of our work? We constantly fight about me staying late and blames it on poor time management.

How many married professionals with young families are just sticking it out “for the kids”? Marriage is very dead and has been for a while. Young kids 4 and 1. My wife and I don’t fight, but share 0 interests outside of the kids and can’t stand to be around each other. My aunt recently passed away, leaving behind 2 young girls (16 and 12 years old). I’m trying my best to be there for them and pray for them, and have been asking people to pray for them as well. Until I started question what is the point of asking people to pray for them? I know God hears my prayers, so why do we ask people to pray ?
