I’m in the middle of moving by myself. I’m job hunting, because I lost my last one. My relationship has basically imploded. Dads with older children: while raising your children, did your children prefer their moms over you? I know some will prefer dads over moms, but I assume majority of children out there will prefer their moms over dads… I have one child and it kinda hurts to see my child always preferring the mom over me. I know I shouldn’t feel this way, but I just do. How did you cope with such issue raising your children?

I was dating someone for about 2.5 years and then we broke up because of COVID and the long distance was making it too difficult to continue. I have lost so many Friends and my social circle have reduced a lot after the work from home culture have started. Is it same for everyone? Or you guys keep in constant touch. Just wanted to know if anyone in the same boat.

I grew up in a nuclear family away from extended relatives who were never really close. Parents were either emotionally unavailable or distant. All I've wanted for myself was a big loving family to call my own.. my parents are unaccepting of my sexuality & my partners family is also quite fucked up so she's isn't super close to them either. Honestly this sucks & it feels like I'll never have a huge supportive family I've wanted & craved for.

Stupid Question- We have been thinking for IVF and trying to understand with this process, is there any difference in the health and life of the child as compared to a child born without IVF. I did ask this with our doctor and he said casually its all same. This is not to question any doctor but just to really understand what is going to be different with the kid. This is not very old technology and not much studies as well.

Hi. I’m relatively new to recruiting and my role is primarily in supporting recruiters. I’ve noticed that even when I include a specific request or call to action, that my emails receive a response less than 50% of the time. Is this lack of responsiveness indicative of company culture or more about the culture of recruiting, since they receive so many emails? Thoughts? I’ve not experienced this rate of responsiveness in any organization I’ve worked for. I am beginning to take it personally.

Let’s talk about wrongful termination. The other day I was fired in the middle of the day without any warning. My colleagues called me because they were confused on why the Talent Manager dismissed me from the chat. I didn’t know what they were referring to. So I called my PM to ask what was happening, and she said that she just got off the phone with the TM and said they were terminating my contract on the spot due to me speaking up about micromanaging.
