I have a total of 5.5 years of experience with current CTC as 11.5 lpa.
I have a offer from Infosys of 17 lpa
But my company wants to retain me and they are giving me an opportunity for Canada onsite in return of retention(no raise or bonus)
Please suggest me, if i should take the onsite opportunity or keep looking for counter on my current offer.

Incorrect presentation of the data. Need to look at gross total of deaths per unit time, not causes of death. Then if the trend is higher than historical, that delta can be attributed with a special condition.

Yep, people are looking at unexplained deaths or number of deaths versus prior averages to gauge whether the disease is more widespread than testing is showing.
I don’t think anyone was suggesting any other cause of death killed more per week

Maybe the total number of covid deaths will end up being less per year versus car crashes or what have you.
But these people always seem to forget that these deaths are IN ADDITION to what we normally get AND they take out our healthcare workers (whether due to sick leave or death or quarantine) which the flu or a car crash typically doesn’t. 🙄

EY the historical baseline are the people who would have died anyway. Anything excess would be explained by COVID or an as yet unknown cause. But Occam’s razor would suggest COVID.
