Can you use excel on the exam? I’m thinking more for PV and FV calculations

Use SYD, DDB, DB for depreciation methods of taking FAR

I don’t think they have FV & PV formula. I mean you have to know formula to calculate it

I could see the formula suggestion while typing the formula in exam!

I could use NPV formula on my BEC exam. However other shortcuts like ‘ALT+=‘ or for expanding columns didn’t work for me.
I’ve heard that excel works differently for diff people for exams in 2023. Learn both the ways of doing it on excel!

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?
