Maybe not petty but to prove a point -
I want to notice that the account team reviewed a document I wrote extremely harsh… Like comment all over the document. Another colleague who did the same thing as me never had any feedback or corrections to their work. So one time I asked hey put your name on my document and let me put my name on yours. Wouldn’t you know the document that they wrote with my name on it had a lot of feedback and the document I wrote with their name on it had very minimal feedback which proved my point that me as a black woman got judged harsher than them as a white woman.
Oh - one agency my review was great but the only criticism I got was I didn’t tell a dept I don’t work with I was on vacation. I only told those I work with. Baybeeee I went on vacation and sent to every living creature at that agency 🤣
Everyone was like 🤣😒

You gotta put you first, I respect it.
At an old job I often felt like I was overqualified based on who my managers were and who was above me in general. I was always the helping type, always offering advice and tips. But I found that I was helping out these people who were higher up than me in the company, shouldn’t I be learning from them? So I stopped helping and offering advice. I made sure that my work was better than theirs and basically kept my secrets to myself. It made me look better but it also got overall management to see my value and I got a raise after. The pettiness comes in the form of me being paid less to tell my manager what to do. No thanks
