The offer was 88k + 12.5k signing bonus.
A friend of mine got the same offer but his offer was 91k + 12.5k signing bonus. Difference is, he’s based in Chicago.

Make your decision easier by getting McK offer.
Agree, go with mck
Bain has the cooler logo.
Personal taste, I see the appeal of both. BCG has kind of "The Great Wave" vibes.
Was in this position before and from talking to people from both sides the differences are:
1) Culture: BCG typically has a diamond structure where they hire more post-MBA people vs. entry-level consultants whereas Bain has a pyramid culture that is more bottom-heavy (more young ACs), leading to different vibes. BCG also feels more intellectual to me whereas Bain feels more collegial.
2) I am in Asia so it might be different elsewhere, but from the people I’ve interacted with, it seems like Bain has approved more personal transfer requests than BCG, which is a plus for me.
At the end of the day, both are great choices and you can’t go wrong! I’d say go with your gut and ask yourself whether you feel more comfortable talking with people from Bain/BCG :) Good luck and feel free to DM me if you have more questions!

Depends, OP. Anything other than core consulting business is very different in terms of culture and internal treatment by leadership. I recommend BCG for core consulting only.
Ans yes, I’m going into core consulting. I somehow thought that should already be a given since we’re in the consulting bowl
Bain got baddies
You can have great experiences at both. Some things to consider as you make your decision.
- how have you felt in terms of fit with both firms during the interview process?
- is there a difference in which location / offices you have offers for?
- same for practices?
- look at size and strength of alumni network
- look at potential mentorship from people you’ve already networked with
....ultimately go with where you feel you will be comfortable and thrive.
OP, what is going to be your work profile at those two places? Could prob give some perspective based on that

I’d go with BCG. Stronger brand (if you leave) and faster promotions (if you stay).

OP, culture is super subjective. I loved BCG and felt Bain was too fratty *for me*. Both are great firms and on average you tend to make better friends at Bain. But it’s unclear whether it’s because more outgoing people tend to choose Bain, or Bain makes people bond more.
Relocation is easy with either firm. But if you already have a city in mind and that city has a BCG office but not Bain (or vice versa), the answer should be easy, shouldn’t it?
BCG if you’re interested in the grind I think has a higher upside, if you’re more interested in being friends with who you work with though/having a slightly more relaxed culture Bain is the wave. Lmk if you need more info - but this is the high level culture I’ve heard of at least
Going to also vary office to office a lot though
