Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon

Hey Fishes,
Require urgent suggestions
I will be joining Oracle Financial Services Software(OFSS) and I am worried about job security considering the layoffs that will be happening in Oracle as per below link:

Require suggestions on whether it would be a wise call to move to OFSS now.

If they act like that in the interview can you imagine working for that person full time? Probably dodged a bullet
Definitely dodged lots of bullet points
If that’s his/her behavior during an interview, imagine the project team environment! Tons of great jobs to choose from these days, don’t go to a place with clowns!
I would’ve cried

Congratulations on dodging employment at a horrible company with terrible toxic culture
Lots of people probably already told you this but having come from two other firms before kpmg, one other big 4 and one large boutique, I can say the culture here is nothing like the toxic and degrading for no reason culture of some other firms. You should have been treated with respect, even too polite, in that setting. You would know it didn’t go well when it ends early., not by someone making you feel like crap. Sorry :(
Chief
The trick to managing people who degrade you for no reason is to genuinely ask them why they’re frustrated and what you can do to help.
They’ll likely be taken aback because they aren’t used to working with folks who understand what truly stressful situations look like. While I’m grateful to work in this industry, in terms of stress - consulting really isn’t a big deal…

Yeah if they care that much that’s a no go
I would’ve hung up

Same! I’ve stopped a video interview mid-way and gave the feedback that I was shocked at how rude and abrasive the interviewer was acting towards me. If they are that rude during an interview - I couldn’t imagine what it would be like working on the team! Partner called me after to apologize for the Director’s behavior but the damage was already done.

Can't wait till you get the offer. Recruiter reads out the TC. And you reply with "Are you kidding me?" and hang up.
Sweet revenge 😝
Nope already got the rejection email 😂
It could’ve been a stress interview
Chief
Omg…. This makes sense to me now!!! When I interviewed for Accenture, the partner first asked me why I chose to study “a dead subject” like philosophy. 🙃
Maybe that was a stress interview. lol
Which firm were you interviewing with OP?
Rising Star
Sounds like you dodged a bullet amigo
What kind of answer did you give to get that response? That seems exceptional
Chief
Where was this so we can all avoid?
Do you think you genuinely did that bad, or were they playing hard ball?
Chief
Sounds like you are better off. Sorry you had to go through that.
One time I got asked a pretty ambiguous Excel question that I genuinely answered to the best of my ability. Granted I had not expressed that I was proficient in Excel, my answer would have solved the problem (I know this for certain) even if it wasn’t the most efficient. The interviewers laughed and did a little side whisper. And said ‘no’. I withdrew my candidacy and walked out lol. This was in college so I really did not give af because it was 1 in 1000 interviews. But I still remember how unprofessional those interviewers were and it stands out as my worst interview to date. And I have bombed some technicals BAD.
Drop the firm name! :D
