Teach to fish and then get so busy that you cannot assist.
The only way doing it makes sense if there is quid-pro-quo. If they are giving you nothing, they deserve nothing.
That said, train, defelect,and self-promote:
Depending on amount of training, but put it on your resume as mentoring (problably not enough, but a thought)
When they ask for something, send them links to the solutions,but don't do it.
As for myself, I'm a software engineer (SWE), and when people ask me for things they can't do that are not typicaly SWE, I can usually pitch it as a strength, and let me management know I'm doing it.
Not sure what you’re really looking for with a question like this, and the “answer” really depends on so much. You said coworker, so I assume that is a peer and not someone above or under you. I also see you’re a consultant, so I’m immediately concerned about how the hours are being billed if a peer is passing along work to you without approval.
