If you qualify for your bonus they are screwing you. Because you are working too hard
My firm (1900 requirement) does a black box. So no one really knows how bonuses are calculated. It’s crap.
1950 billable requirement
If you hit 2050 you get 5% bonus
If you hit 2150 you get 10% bonus
There’s also a merit aspect up to 10%, but it seems to be reserved for those that do not hit the above. If you hit the tiered bonuses you don’t expect much from the merit side.
Current plan: 2000 hrs to hit bonus, based on seniority but 20k/40k/60k (potentially merit at 2100 and other big benchmarks), 100 nonbillable hrs (pd/bd)
Old plan: 1850 to hit bonus (I forget the amounts but something like 4k/6k/8k or something), lump bonus at every 50 hrs above. 4k/5k/6k I think, 300 nonbillable hours
