Hi Infosys guys, I have cleared one technical interview and got email for further round which is planned for tomorrow. Email mentions that this is a telephonic interview, is this supposed to be an HR round discussing salary or another tech round.

@GD many times. They act sympathetic and imply they will help and nothing happens. They just gave me a substantial raise too, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m working like 24/7 and still feel like I’m failing at getting everything done. That is why I’m so torn.
Hold up - I'm going to sound like such a producer here, but why no SOW?! Do you all work for free?!
I have a decent number of team members but they are all so junior they need a lot of hand holding. And I’m in meetings from like 10-4 every day. I continually ask for a #2 to help support me and it goes nowhere. I have an opportunity to get out but it is on pharma, but a decent account. Is it awful to jump to that or wait for something else, knowing that with the hours I currently work it is difficult to even look for a job?
@ACD I wish. My current job would be perfect if I had the right team. Agency is so cheap all I get are former interns and folks with 1-2 yrs exp. Not sustainable.
For me personally, that constant feeling of pressure and like you’re not doing anything right keeps me up at night and messes with my focus. It’s not worth it for me
^ My question too. What’s up with that?
Sounds like you have a challenge fit for a CD on your hands. You need to have faith in your team’s capabilities. Relinquish control, take some chances, and allow them to grow. It may be rocky at first but eventually they will be able to run.
No SOW just means projects flowing in on individual basis without a streamlined developed in advance annual scope. You don't work for free but in constant chaos.
Are you hiring?
Have you said exactly this to somebody that has the power to change it? Founder? MD? CEO?
I've left a job under similar conditions before and became a boomerang. It's cool, you can probably come back. It's bad because it's not always greener out there. I would make a final stand for change before leaving (if ya like it there).
Sounds like KBS
Basically client pays a lot of money on retainer and we are their bitches. New requests every day.
If you've got a retainer then your producer should work out the resources required to fulfill the requests (mapping out approx how many/size of projects/skill level required etc) to make sure the right team is in place. A bit of order to the chaos. Can you lean on your producer to help with this so you can get the right team together?
Project-based work should still have an SOW (albeit on a smaller scale). A retainer should still outline resources and time for each resource. Can you ask your Account team to go over the scope? They should then be able to flag personnel needs to senior leadership. This isn’t your sole problem to fix so I highly recommend talking to your team if you don’t have proper resources.
Yeah, retainers don’t mean you just toss project management out the window. Someone should be making a plan or something
