I can help you! They are in the Ops practice and will often do similar/same work as Ops consultants. However, if we have a stand alone at a company, it will often be the MI person.

McKinsey is a different kind of implementation it seems, not sure if Deloitte does what's described up in the link

Yes I am in S&O mainly on the operations side
If you want to do implementation, isn't it better to stick with a firm where implementation is a critical path (I.e.where the $$ is)?...such as Deloitte. But I guess it's always good to explore different options. Good luck with the interview.
