Yea, its like a lump sum, and when you retire you can take lump sum, or take monthly payments based on actuarial calculations.
Suggest you read the online docs. Its all there and should take you 10 minutes to mock up in excel
Oh I thought it was like a government pension plan - 50-60% of base pay, shoot oh well.
Vesting clock starts one full year after the first December you have been here. So can be up to 5 years before it vests.
Annual interest is 3.8%. Contribution depends on levels and years of service. I joined as an analyst and 4 years later it’s only like $9K. But I’ve heard contributions are much higher at the M level. Others may know better
I've done the math several times and confirmed accuracy with other people. Its worth peanuts (maybe 60k ish) after 10 years. But can really compund later assuming salary growth. But not till 20+ years. Its the same for all employees, doesnt depend on title, only tenure and salary
