Did the holiday spirit die for you already, or are you holding strong? I woke up and had to go to work, so I'm pretty much back in full work mode.

Absolutely still in the holiday spirit! My Christmas Holiday season doesn't end until January 8. I don't let the outside world interrupt my joy at this time of year - even being recently told my position is terminated 12/31! Hang in there everyone.

Planning a one-week summer vacation to Yellowstone Park area. Family unit of 6, so need to rent a single, large SUV. Partners - Do you ever take vacations?

I have been at my current firm for about 1.5 years, and in that entire time the partner in my group hasn't been out of the office a single time. Is that normal? I can't tell if it's standard for big law partners to not take time off, if the dynamics for my group may be different (only 1 partner in the entire group), or it the partner I work with is just a masochist.

- YOE: 5 years
- Comp: 270k aed/year + 5% bonus
- Other benefits: work from Europe/US 1 month/year, 30 vacation days

I received a verbal offer for a VP position at CCB line of business at JPMC in NYC two weeks ago. The recruiter asked for salary expectations but there was no number set. It’s been two weeks since and complete radio silence. I sent an email to a hiring manager a week ago but received no reply. It’s August so people could be on vacation but this is really strange. Has anyone had similar experience?

You’re either not valuable to your company and/or your job isnt that important if you’re able to take PTO and not at least send some e-mails.

When is it either allowed or seen as OK to start using FTO? I recently started here and while I’m not looking to slack off and take time off, I just want to know how it works. I have 32k miles with THY that are about to expire. Normally I'd go ahead and book a flight, but I can't project which countries might be locked down again 5-6 months from now (haven't accrued enough PTO to travel in near future). The only other way to keep the miles is to pay $10 per 1000 miles, as far as I know. Are there other strategies?

Do you work a lot of overtime during flu season/the holiday season? My manager says with travelers and people needing shots + antibiotics we'll get swamped for like the next 3 months. Do I just work somewhere understaffed or is there a "busy season?"

Is it crazy to switch a job while undergoing IVF?
I’ve been in my current role for almost 4 years. While I am generally happy, & have flexibility with time off for personal matters, there are things that bother me. I have an offer for way more money, manager title (which I want), much larger bonus & IVF benefit is better. However, I’m in the middle of stims and it is STRESSFUL. Part of me can’t imagine taking on a new role while I’m in the middle of this. But also feel like I can’t pass it up

Hey friends! I hope everybody has had a productive week and had an awesome weekend for those who enjoyed their holiday! This question is specifically for Amazon Web Services in sales.

So I am currently a potential candidate as an AAE. I was told that I would in the future have to prepare a mock deck and deal with objections.

Has anybody had to prepare them and what was the scenario?

Thanks everyone!

I have been working in SEA region last 4 years. I feel burned out. I have 10yoe, I have try to move to other country but I pretty much suck in LeetCode. I want to take some time off to unwind, finish some personal business, and really prepare for interviews. I would like to hear from you. Should I quit to my current manager(5th so far) or wait after mid year performance review, when a new boss will take over my team? I'm thinking on giving them 2 months notice period. By contract is 1.

Thanks
