At my current company, after five years, you get an extra week of PTO and a small annual bonus, usually around $1,000, which is nice, but not life-changing. Some sales organizations offer tiered perks, like upgraded company cars, exclusive trips, or even access to special training events for top performers who stick around. I’ve also heard of companies that give out stock options or profit-sharing bonuses after certain milestones.
Honestly, my job doesn't offer anything beyond the annual raise at the five-year mark. I kind of wish we did, though, because I think that kind of loyalty should be praised and celebrated (monetarily).
I'm not aware that we do anything for a milestone anniversary. I think it would just be treated as another year, so whatever annual raise might come along. It would be interesting to read a well-reported story on how companies handle anniversaries. It feels like things have changed over time, the concept of long-term loyalty in business seems pretty quaint in this era.
We get PTO increases with each year of employment. It starts at 16 per year, then we get two more days for each of the first four years and I think three additional days each year after that. I'm not positive on that though and don't think I'll ever find out since I'm planning on leaving within a year.
We have a similar policy that increases your PTO for every five years that you work at the company. I don't know what the hours increase to but I probably should because I am coming up on the five year mark here before too long. It would be nice if we had a health and wellness fund for them to put extra money into but sadly we don't have one of those.
