@MA1 I've barely paid anything out of pocket for healthcare, the match and profit sharing for 401k just got better, and yes bonuses aren't great but I personally make up for it with the travel bonus. Sounds like you're a bit salty and should probably just work somewhere else
RSM did, but they got rid of it this past year.
MA1, losing it on healthcare? I used to work there and the healthcare at Moss was better than I'm getting at EY. That $2,000 annual contribution to my HSA made it practically free (on net)
@OP the healthcare is not as good as big 4. The match & profit share are the minimum compared to competitors. The bonuses are lower than market (not just me, it's not a performance problem). You're right, I should get out.
You love the PPO? I really just hate the absurd cost of healthcare it's not the firm's fault. And I'm just cranky because it's busy season and I'm tired. Sorry for being a bummer
^tired of notifications of this healthcare crap but @ma1 I get that bro haha. "Busy seasons over" .....no it ain't. 3 clients still have deadlines of next Friday....super over....
@RSM1 that's what I'm worried about, that they no longer need it to stay competitive and it'll be gone....
But it wasn't too much. $30 a night over 30 nights out of town for client business.
@rsm1 it also extended to $50/night over 50 nights as well
Yes other firms have a travel bonus. Also, if your comp looks like mine, your base comp might be at market but you're losing out on health care, bonuses, and 401k match compared to similar firms & the big 4.
Crowe does. Over 10 overnights in a quarter $25/night, >20 nights $50/night, >30 nights $75 or $100 per night. Plus travel benefit program if you have 72 overnights in a year
Baker Tilly did as of a few years ago.
I can't imagine how much better the healthcare plan could be. At least, compared to what I had before at a local firm. I picked the PPO plan and love it. The 401k match could be a percentage point better, but I max it out anyway so that's trivial to me. Profit sharing is ok. And at least what I've invested in is doing pretty good. On the whole, I haven't had any issues with the comp and benefits
