Just heard of a firm that's reopening - for those who want to go back to the office - and the procedures are insane. Each attorney's office is sealed when they leave, valet needs to clean steering wheels when giving cars back to people, masks are enforced, eating is prohibited unless alone, there's a specific place to get Uber Eats orders, etc. This is simply impossible to maintain in the long term and must cost a fortune. I don't think we'll be going back to the office before 2021.

Why are there barely any units available for October now that it’s September?

There is a positive case in my school and we haven’t even been made aware. I know because it was slipped out to my para. I am beyond frustrated because this is just going to continue. Needed to vent and hear from others

Did anyone else adopt the new Florida Wonders curriculum? We just adopted it this school year, and I teach 4th grade. My team and I have not found a good flow, schedule, or whatever you want to call it. We feel like it teaches too many skills in one lesson, and we are not able to truly teach anything “deep” enough for students to master. Does anyone have any insight? What do you do? Do you like the curriculum? Why or why not? Would you be willing to share what you do weekly/daily? Thanks!

For those who moved during the pandemic, and potentially moved away from a big city with lots of job opportunities, where did you move from and to?

I moved during the pandemic from Boston to Central New York. Super thankful that WFH and remote work in general has allowed me move sooner than planned and keep my job/seek new jobs that are remote. Being able to make a big life change and not have to consider adjusting my career outlook and/or salary expectations has been really wonderful.

Mechanical keyboards over zoom- yay or nay? I tested it and Zoom will filter out the background noise if I’m not talking. If I am speaking while typing, others can hear clacking

How much is too much reaching out? Some context: I’m on the bench and I spoke to my SM about my availability on a Monday. They say they will find me some work. But I don’t hear from him at all. When do I reach out and how often should I follow up until he actually gives me what I need. The layoffs here at Accenture has me stressing over WBS codes so much.

Just got the confirmation that I’m now a remote worker - so I can finally move out of the northeast and explore another part of the country. I’m single M - 29 years old like to be active(run, bike, tennis), be close to body of water, love the sun and tropical climate. Am looking at Florida (st. Pete and Fort Lauderdale), Colorado, and California (San Diego) anyone around my age have thoughts about places I’ve mentioned and or others I should look at?
