I have the original one and love it! Used it last night. It really works, I use it to drink one glass of my nicer wines I don’t want to pull the cork on. I’ve come back to them 10-12 months later and they still taste the same :)
I’m trying to limit my wine intake 😒 so this helps me not have to open the bottle. Let me know if you have specific questions! Happy to answer.
I have one and never used it; the cost per canister only makes sense if you have a large collection that you are using it on. For your average bottle even up to 100$ it’s more economically viable to just open the bottle and drink it.
Yes! But I’m Italian and I have a French mum, I may be biased 🤔
I have one. I like being able to only have one glass and not worry about the wine spoiling. Helped me cut down on overall drinking by not feeling like I need to finish the bottle!
I don’t use it on wines under $30 or so though
F yea dude! It’s the best and couldnt imagine not having one.
I have one, but almost never use it. It’s not useful for old wines, as it just throws the sediment around, making one glass basically worthless. For old wines, I decant them, and I can always seal the decanter and drink the rest over the next few days. For younger wines, they last well enough over a few days that it’s easier just to open the bottle.
I have one too and I love it. I live alone and like an occasional drink on a Wednesday night. Similar to above, I try not using it on $20-$30 bottles.
I got it during the thanksgiving sale a couple years ago. This year I am planning on getting the sparkling one if it ends up at a good price point.
Yes but I don’t use it often. I’ve found it’s ineffective against non traditional corks. Also, for very expensive wines, agree with the above it’s more economical to drink rather than let expensive wine mingle with argon.
Thanks for the input! FYI, As I’ve been researching, it does say only to use on traditional corks.
I used it a few times. It definitely works for a few days, but noticed after 3 weeks the wine was spoiled. Not sure if the cork was traditional. I’ll have to give it a try again. Now we have a finish-the-bottle policy.
Yea you feel guilty using coravin on expensive wine. But I do love having one
I have both the classic and the pivot! I barely use them but tend to reserve it for wines above $75-$100, or rarer things. It is helpful if you are studying and want to revisit the same high-quality wines every day, in similar condition.
I have the lower end Pivot and have a large collection of $30-100 bottles. I live alone and my consumption has dropped over the last year. sometimes I just want a glass. And I might want something different than what I had yesterday. I also find it helpful in reducing feeling obligated to finish a bottle quickly. It just tastes better/as it should days or a week later vs having to toss it if I forgot about it.
