I’m hearing that a recession is undoubtedly going to happen. Will we be impacted as Consultants and if so, to what extent?
I have a degree in Marketing that I wasn’t able to use in a corporate setting. My corporate roles consist of Consumer Lending and Commercial. I’m ready to pivot but I’m not sure which direction. I have full intentions on taking a CSM-PO class in a few weeks. Im not ready to quit my job, yet. So I’m looking for advice on how to navigate this and get into a new role.
A former boss reached out about a role on his new team. When it came up that I just had a kid, he literally said, “I think you’re busy with other priorities now.” And the conversation ended. Anyway, that still happens.
Hello, can someone please get me a referral from the Big 4 in the management consulting domain. Currently working as a Digital Strategy Consultant at IBM with a KPMG offer for the same role. Thanks
Got an offer for a great brand side role. Great compensation. Interesting company. Should open doors in the future. but the title is very Junior. I shouldn't dwell on that, right? It's the only thing that has me scratching me head, but I shouldn't be, right?
I want to transition from buying for broadcast to digital but things aren't moving and apparently the team I was thinking of transitioning to doesn't, have openings for juniors. Don't know what to do.
Thoughts on this?
Is “detail oriented” a lost skillset with the incoming workforce? How do you train a junior person to pay acute attention to details? Coordinators have always been the last line of defense as social content goes out the door, or as social calendars are prepared for review by client. The coordinators in the mid 20s that I’ve been hiring, despite impressive graduate programs and other jobs, have had no ability to catch typos, errors, or make sure 2 things match. I’m at my wits end - any advice?
Hi everyone :) Any one from Siemens willing to provide referral? Please leave a DM and I'll connect with you. Thanks so much iA.
What is total comp like at Oracle for a Presales Cloud Enterprise Architect role? Is something like 175k base salary and breaking 200k with bonus/rsu a reasonable opening number in negotiations? I know what AWS and Google pay but its harder to track down data for Oracle.
Interview advice - How to overcome your prior experience not being 1:1 with the potential role responsibilities (it’s a very niche role) ?
Did a round of brand side interviews with a senior level team and want to write a thank you note that doesn’t come across too thirsty. What would a senior person appreciate in a note if they got one? They have all been there 10 plus years. Just thank for their times and reiterate what value I can bring to the role? Agency side is so lax I haven’t had to write one my last few jobs 😓
Let me know if anyone needs refferal in IBM. 😊
Is it true that agencies give certain job opening to head hunters exclusively? What does the exclusivity means really?does it applies to candidates who reach out to agencies on their own.
What are some natural exit opportunities for a first year senior in public accounting. I’m not loving the hours and stress at the moment. Is it even worth leaving before getting to manager?
Who is your role model?
What's the longest period of time you have had to wait to get credentialed before starting a new position?
I got “verbal” offer from PWC for senior associate/ salesforce developer role. Of course I am not trusting with all my heart but how much should I trust at this point? Does PWC normally extend the offer or are they just telling this to bunch of people and choose in between?
Let's see what we are all making. Include current salary, location, industry, and YoE please. Reply using your title. I'm going first in the comments.
I've got an interview at Amazon (specifically AWS) for a non-technical position this week. Is AWS as bad as they say it is, even for non-engineers? 😅 Also, I never realized how mediocre AMZ's benefits are...what are some of the reasons (besides RSUs) that would make anyone work there over other tech companies???

When a senior partner inserts a client’s son as an intern even though the interviewers unanimously rejected him. #consultingcronyism
Saw someone taking notes on their iPad mini with a digital pen. Not sure I'll ever be able to give up my pen and moleskine.
Anyone else in the FIRE camp (Financial Independence, Retire Early)? Started second guessing 401k contributions, since I'll likely want to start drawing on it well before 59.5. I know there's an exception for the early withdrawal penalty (72t) for equal payments, but I'm wondering if there's a better investment vehicle than the 401k if early retirement is the goal Would be interested to hear others' suggestions/experiences Thanks!
"How attached are you to your planned vacation?" 🙄🙄🙄
Is it ok to get personal in salary negotiations? For example, let the recruiter know that I’m a single parent supporting three young kids and two retired parents and I really need more money.
I got box braids and the client told the partner in my team that I need to remove them it isn't professional & he doesn't like it. Partner is now asking me to take them off. Just got them & it was exp

Those on local projects, do you get to office by 9 on Mondays or align to when traveling teammates get in? Beat our local staff to the office and I come from two states away. Can I say something?
Has consulting lost its luster? Anyone notice the declining caliber of talent in consulting? …
I trust the cracked out hobo outside my apartment more than the mute button on Skype/Lync.
Looks like we may see some picketing tomorrow: flyertalk.com/articles/united-airlines-crew-to-picket-16-airports-worldwide-thursday.html as long as this doesn't affect our travel...
Moved into apt couple years ago. Me and 2 roommates bought tv. First kid moves out, the other comes in and buys his share out of tv. I move out, new kid moves in. Won't pay for TV but out -- (cont.)
