Hi folks, how is thoughtworks as an organisation?
Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte
I tend to overwork myself and it’s really taking a toll on my mental well-being. I want to learn a lot and prove myself to my superiors so that they recognize me/see value. Now my work has a sense of dread to it. I watched my parents be workaholics growing up, so it’s all I know. I’m also goal-oriented and driven, so achieving a lot scratches that itch for me. But, it’s making me want to quit cause I’m burned out and depressed….im not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I worked in government, previously. WLB is true, did 8-5:30 every day, never checked email after hours.
Ryan has the worst WLB and management (speaking generally, exceptions do apply) so even going to a B4 for you would be an improvement.
I guess it depends on what team you’re on. I’ve found the work to be more intense at my smaller firm, but the clients and issues are a lot harder to deal with. Then again, all of the management are former Ryan meat grinders, so, they seem to have brought along their penchant for micromanagement.
