I’ve worked in sales for 12 years (8 years retail sales and management, 4 years inside tech sales and management). I’m feeling the burn and looking for something else in the tech field. I’m making $140k. I have a college degree but no marketing, engineering, or product experience. What other departments/jobs could I jump to and still keep close to my OTE? I got an offer from accenture 8lpa fixed 1.68 variable n the position is level 11.
Now i have better offers from pwc n kpmg
10lpa fixed.
Will accenture increase their offer. They wer not even ready to go till 8.5 last time. But now i have other offers in hand. Is it possible to go back and ask for improved offer n position even though i have accepted the old 8lpa offer from accenture 1 month back.

Life / Career Advice: I applied to medical school since my MCAT score was set to expire, ended up getting into 1 program. I also have an opp to join a well funded/well established Healthtech Startup (6 figure salary w/ equity + benefits) as a BD professional. I enjoy the business side of things and am unsure if I would end up practicing Medicine (medicine is also a long arduous path). At the same time, having an MD holds a lot of clout/authority in HC. So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds. Reasoning is that I don’t want to lock away all that money maxing out 401k. Have 3 months expenses liquid in a savings account. Is this really dumb? My firm, a small boutique in the region, is only recruiting on a case-by-case basis this year.

I think we should create a compensation thread in this bowl. It would help a lot of people who are planning to switch companies/jobs or who are moving to this region. Just a thought, since it’s one of the most common questions asked here.
