I’m looking to make a shift into recruiting. I don’t have any typical recruiting experience but I believe I will be very good at it. Im excited to learn, very personable, love helping connect people. My issues are: Ive never worked a commission job before & taking that leap is terrifying. Im currently at a job that pays about 30K more than most of the base pays I’m seeing & I have great benefits. Any advice? What to look out for? How to pick a good place? Where are you working/why do you like it

Feeling like my firm has a very outdated parental leave policy (and none of the women partners have children)! What is the parental leave policy at your firm? Please include: (1) size of firm; (2) location of firm (city, state); (3) how many paid weeks off from firm (not state/fed benefits); (4) other policies such as ramp up/down time, etc.
Hello I just started my first job (I’m 22) and I need to set up a 401k for matching with my company. I’m really confused how this works because I want to try to hit the IRS maximum of $19,500 for Roth contributions this year. Maybe it’s too late in the year now, but it’s asking me to pick my desired contribution % per pay period, but I’m not sure how much to do because it says it’ll kick in 1-2 pay cycles and I don’t even know when the next pay check comes yet. Any tips would be great
401k or Roth IRA?

Recently completed recording a series of seven one-hour webinars, approved for credit by CFRE for both certification and continuing ed. Did some advertising on LinkedIn, no takers yet. I have some name recognition in the nonprofit development world, where quite a number of people do need these credits. Not sure what to try next. I also have a 25k word text that could accompany these webinars and serve as a desk reference, not quite ready for publication. Have not figured out distro.
Am I overlooking something or do most schools not ask about college internship experience?
If you could work remote from anywhere in the US, where would you? (Within reason, of course)
Folks - how do you prep for case interviews in half a week? Any resources you would point me towards? It’s been over 5 years since I last had interviews. Sure I am in consulting but I honestly don’t do this thing on the day to day so am very sure will be very rusty.
Significant other is active duty marine corps and while I have 10 years of experience, having a tough time “making the right moves” to climb the ranks in consulting due to needing to (or at least needing to be available to) relocate every few years. Anyone willing to chat? Looking to get into MBB if possible. Prior big 4 exp and worked across human capital, tech, and some S&O. Super hard working and quick learner. Rejected by 2 exit ops after on-sites where 2 of 3 recruiters sent a personal message/email saying something like "you seem great/qualified but not the right fit". One said "the HM said you seem really bright and would hire asap if we were looking for a generalist". Another said "this isn't about weakness or lack of experience, just questions on fit". Do recruiters say this to a lot of people or is this genuine? Trying to gauge whether my interview performance is at least solid.
I feel very conflicted about whether to jump into an EM consulting role from industry. My husband is older, has switched jobs to a role that pays significantly less to his previous one pre-lay offs. We have 1 baby and I think I want a second. We really need this jump in salary to make this work. Irrationally I’m afraid that by not seeing my daughter Mon-Thurs for a few years it will damage our relationship and we won’t be close. Can people give me some real perspective?
I am all for equal rights and inclusion and diversity. If we are going to have real change. I need some insights from women fish. Why is it if the internet is down, computer or TV is acting up, it is my fault because I have a penis? This holds true from a diverse set of females - my mother, wife, daughter, etc. When is this inequality going to be addressed?
Hey Fishes, I am a business analyst with 8 years IT experience and drawing 20 LPA currently. Planning to switch and want to know where I stand in terms of compensation to ask for the right compensation. Let me know.
