Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

VC or tech. VC would be a wicked cool opportunity with best potential to learn and grow, but tech obvi highest comp.

VC if it's a true VC role - these are few and far between. There are also VC firms with pseudo "associate" roles where you do something else so make sure it's not one of those

Go for VC. Hardest opportunity to get later.
You can always get a 150k job in consulting, and the VC experience, especially if it is tech, could make it easier to get other business-focused tech jobs later.
VC, you can always go back to tech but VC ops don’t come around very often
Totally depends on caliber of vc and tech opp
Tech for sure, I don't think VC is as glamorous as you think it is but that's just me.

You should really consider the caliber of the VC fund.
At MBB, we get reach out from VC funds all the time and upon investigating the role, it’s usually primarily sourcing (which is terrible imo).
They are not all good and most aren’t worth it. VC sounds “sexy”, but the reality is that you’re probably doing mostly sourcing if they’re only paying you $110-120k.
Additionally, the skills do not easily transfer to large corporations, if you’re interested in that down the line. Don’t be enamored by the “VC” label. It really depends on the firm’s track record. That is the most important thing.
The only thing I want to add to this chain. Any more senior level role as an investor will involve sourcing. There is no investment if you can’t source deals. There might be nuances to VC where start ups want to say they got a round from a top fund but it’s not as simple as them just inbounding those funds asking for money. Also, if they are a company that will become something serious I would think that people will be fighting tooth & nail to be part of the round raised.

Whichever you pick, can you refer me for the other 2?
Thanks!

Have you asked your mentors or your family what they think? Might have some great perspective relative to your long term goals
Going too! received 2/3 of the offers today so still mind blown that I went from 0 interviews after applying for 5 months to 3 offers in one day LOL. Thought I was broken
Just chilling and trying to process
I've been curious about partnerships - feel like this role has become a lot more popular, are they all around this comp?!
Most I saw were very attractive comp
Tech
I recently started at a new VC firm (with zero prior VC knowledge). Feel free to DM me.
Depends. Is tech FAANG?
VC then. Not as easy to get that kind of role and tech will always be there later. What is your background / experience?
Congrats on 3 dope offers! Can you negotiate on the VC offer? Feels low and hopefully not a sign of sourcing / cold call heavy work
Thanks, trust me when I say it was long time before I got any traction with any sort of offer lol. Funny how it pans out this way
I will certainly try negotiating a bit!
VC! Upside is so much more. Take a step back in comp and play the long game
