McKinsey & Company I did my final round with McKinsey today, and I I received a rejection call from the partner today. However, he said I did really great and wants to keep in touch with me. He also mentioned that I should reapply in 6 months. Does anyone have any similar experience? Do I have a better chance if I reapply next time?McKinsey & Company

Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

I've always paid some attention to what gets said about company culture. I'm also aware that a lot of that is aspirational. And in my day to day work, what's really going to matter is the team I'm assigned to. The handful of people I deal with day in and day out have much more to do with how things go than whatever fine phrases appear in the employee handbook.

I feel like it is complicated to get a workplace culture right because certain upper managers will add their own flavor to it so it could change from the interview to when you start
Yeah, everyone has their own perspective of culture from top to bottom right
You can observe whether middle level employees speak and ask questions naturally, or you can conduct background checks on the company's average employee tenure, especially if there are frequent turnovers in core positions. This indicates a problem with the company's corporate culture.
Very few companies deliver on the culture that they speak of, in my experience. I will say, when I worked at Allstate in college, they absolutely did have a great culture. That was the only company I ever worked at that followed through on their promises in the interview.

I try to evaluate culture by asking about real behaviours rather than slogans. Questions about how decisions are made or how conflict is handled often reveal more than any culture statement.
