PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

Thanks in advance.

I always just say the new gig is a new opportunity I couldn't pass up. HR is never, ever on your side and nothing is truly anonymous. Best to try and leave in as good graces as possible, 'cause if they'd care to fix their issues they'd have done it while you were there.
Just be polite, don’t bother telling them everything on your mind. It won’t matter to you in 6 months anyway. My attitude about places I hated working at was...
When I left my last agency I really left it all on the table. A lot having to do with the CCO and general treatment. I had that “I don’t care if I burn bridges mentality I never want to work with these people again.” Well, the CCO is gone now - for harassment - and the replacement has new ideas for staffing and how to run things. But I’m afraid my exit with HR probably has me on a “Don not hire list” which sucks because it seems like things are turning around and I miss the small city I was in. Not a lot of other options in the area and I want to move back. So, be polite. Because you really never know.
Keep your mouth shut. You don’t benefit at all from spilling any info to HR and it’s way more satisfying in your head than it will feel in reality.
It doesn't matter. They don't care. It won't affect change. Pretend there's the possibility they become an awesome agency in 3 years and you want to go back.
I was honest. It was all stuff I had said multiple times during my tenure. When I quit, I said I had flagged all these things, nothing changed, so I dipped. They read it, said they understood, and asked me to come back when I wanted. It’s not always a death sentence to be honest if it’s justified and pragmatic. How can they be better if everyone lies?
Ask them really strange questions about their Cobra plan. Have fun with it...
Don’t. Burn. Bridges. Ever. Take the high road bc we will meet some of these people again down the road
Never ever burn a bridge
