Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?

Boring is still better than bored and strenuous. Only go consulting if you’re confident you can make partner IMO

Figure out what you’re passionate about and make your move
FWIW, I’m not passionate about this, never was, means to an end, somewhat interesting and enjoyable, appreciating the diversity of our clients and work is what kept me going
True. That’s the nice thing about consulting . There’s diversity of work and client. Sometimes industry jobs are monotonous and pretty much the same. Hence, the lack of excitement.

Find a hobby/side hustle. You will be at peace realising any job you have won’t fulfil you.

I'm in the exact same boat but 4 years in. Been trying to go back to consulting but keep getting knocked back due to comp expectations

I’m trying to figure it out earlier (2 years in) rather than later (4+ years in) to avoid wasting anymore time. But like you said, the comp expectations and more stress are also considering factors.
Is it the type of work or the industry that bores you?
If it’s the industry why not just apply to it the r industries instead of consulting?
I’m in FP&A and tbh it’s tiring sometimes. I prefer the strategic projects rather than the day to day FP&A work.

My job is so boring…need to find something I’d enjoy doing when I wake up everyday. Not the most exciting role, but maybe not everyone cares about that as long as they get paid.
