Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?
I MISS OBAMA.

Pregnancy doesn’t count in and of itself, but there are SO many reasons that could!
My first I was out due to carpal tunnel and my second was due to high blood pressure. You basically just need your doctor to agree it’s better for you to not be working and be willing to sign off on that paperwork.
Correct! It took a week to process mine due to incredible pain while walking and then I gave birth at 37 weeks. So I was never able to actually take the leave but it got approved. Anything doctor agrees to before or after birth is fine. After birth I took extra disability due to anxiety of 10 months (struggling to pump, couldn’t do formula due to allergies, didn’t want baby to die with me being away).
Doesn’t NY offer disability 4 weeks prior to due date?
Your employer would not have to specifically cover this; it would be the state.

The NY state max payment for short term disability is $170 a week, so financially not very practical… it hasn’t been updated since the 80s unfortunately.
Most people at my company go on leave 2 weeks prior to their due date. Maybe it’s our insurance policy or something, but mine was approved with “pregnancy” as the only condition.
Must be a specific policy you have that covers that because disability insurance doesn’t consider pregnancy a disability.
