100% remote? Effectively had it at my last job, and I was *not* a fan. I like working remotely, but I like in person interaction from time to time.

Same until I realized I didn't actually like most of the people on my team and would rather avoid most of them.
Really dependent on the person, I did fully remote for almost 2 years. I go in 2 days a week now and actually like it a lot more. Some people are more comfortable in isolation, some get energized by interaction. I’m right in the middle, so hybrid works well.
I've been fully remote since 2009, and when I did have to go to the office for a year due to a career shift, I enjoyed the experience, but absolutely abhorred the commute. One of the biggest benefits that I've found, is that I am able to be so much more a part of our son's life, who's now 6.

Generally I like it. I do feel like there’s a bit of personal connection that’s lacking having never met people in person. When we’re in meetings, it’s for a purpose not to just chat and be social. No desire to be in an office everyday, but I’d like to see my team and leadership in person quarterly.

I wish I could pick when I was remote and when I was hybrid.

The only way to enjoy your job
I’m 100% WFH and enjoy it immensely. Nice work if you can get it.
That said, I’m not averse to heading into the office. Unfortunately the office, in this case, is 1-2hrs there and another 1-2hrs back. The thought of extending the workday into my family time by up to 4 hrs is abhorrent to me. I also have a baby on the way, so I won’t be making any kind of trek out there anytime soon.

I’m 100% remote and I don’t particularly love it. I miss having ppl. But then again I think I just don’t like my current team as compared to my last team

I am 2/3 remote, travel the other 1/3. This is my first remote position, so it took some adjusting. When I was new & still learning the company & the nature of my role, I had to reach out to a lot of folks for help within my new company. By doing so, I met a lot of cool new people & began building relationships. I do have a great team (we meet up every 6 months for in-office meeting). My previous job was in the office & I don’t miss all the micromanaging that came with it. My new position really gives me time to be creative, innovative & blissfully independent in my role. It makes me a better employee for my current employer.

I’m trading in my 100% remote for a 20% travel gig.
100% remote has my wife feeling like I don’t actually do anything (I genuinely only work about 5 hours a week). Which is not great for her impression of me as a manly man so gotta go Fred Flinstone it up a bit.
Good news is everyone is willing to give me a nice bump for “coming back in the office.”
