Exploring exit opportunities and stumbled on a few sweet sounding roles at Nike, specifically the GOT team. Has anyone in here made the jump and would be open to sharing their experience on things like interview process, work culture (including WLB), and total comp?

Comp is very low compared to consulting market, very tough job and interview was pretty annoying for strategy. Only worth it if you absolutely love shoes.

Game of thrones team? Sounds sick
Hopefully not – everyone dies in GOT 😂

…or Game of Thrones
I interviewed with them before accepting another offer and this was my finding:
- very product indoctrinated culture. They insist you wear Nike for the interviews, they even asked me what my favorite Nike running shoe is specially. It’s quite hard for them to manage feedback and criticism when they’re drinking the coolade that hard
- convoluted interview process. Their interview process has several 2-1 or 1-1 rounds which to me felt unnecessary. If you need more than 3 rounds, it’s too many as far as I’m concerned
- very cool roles! They’re hiring a lot right now and they’re working on some super innovative stuff product wise and also in the metaverse. So you’d really be a part of something amazing
- unless you’re in the Beaverton HQ, you’re unlikely to have real decision making power unfortunately. That’s based on my discussions so it could be off since it’s quite a subjective topic
