Yes, to an extent. They don't like it if you dip too negative. A few days to a week is fine.
@EY 1 who is "they"? Would it be HR or your group head that comes after you?
Yes
But don't go over your alloted years vacation
Yep that's correct! If your vacation hrs goes in negative, you accrue your vacation hrs every month till it's positive. But if your quitting and your vacation hrs is negative, you obv would owe money to the firm in the final settlement.
Lets try that again...It is fine.. you will just owe money if you leave while still in the negative.
I am in negative around 60 hrs. I was forced to take days off cuz of sickness besides PTO. Nobody came after me.
That's a bit of a different case, Crowe.
If you get sick for 5 days you go on short term disability
I had a negative vacation most of my senior years (nothing over a week) and was never asked about it.
I have a coworker that has been in the negative since he started
Itnis fone.. you will just owe moneybif you leave while still in the negative.
