I recently started a position as a business office assistant in a retirement home. I have a B.S. in Psychology and some relevant experience. I'm paid 20/hr in South Florida. Is this reasonable pay or am I being cut short?

I have a bachelor's and master's degree, have 1.5 years professional experience in internships (mostly consulting) and 1.5 years full time experience (PwC consulting). Just turned 26. So if I apply now I'd start with 27 and having a total of 4 years of professional experience.

Also what is the difference between Deals Strategy between pwc vs S&? The descriptions seem fairly equal to me.

Discussion post: I feel almost all consulting firms are the same. Mbb, big 4 etc. if you are paid enough there is probably less wlb. If there is good wlb there is not much money. Can you single out a company that you can confidently say pays very well and also has good wlb and also has good opportunities etc.?

Deloitte folks - what's with the new structure? Is the monitor team pulling folks from S&O for staffing?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

A reminder to all: we are going through very difficult times. Please help someone who has gotten laid off if you can!
