I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers
I am getting a Analyst designation at delloite for a 1.7 years experience of it experience.
Should I try to get the consultant designation as the salary range will also open a bit as they r giving me 9.5. Should I just wait a few more months to get 2 years experience and apply the consultant position.

please that's a load of crap. social is the easiest of them all since we all use the medium everyday. it's hardly rocket science. these places should promptly get over themselves.
^ Agree 💯
I feel your pain. I'm in the Strategic Planning discipline. I started on the digital side 18 yrs ago, and it was tough to find a traditional agency to hire me. But it finally happened because I persisted...I found a match with a boss and agency who was looking for someone with a different perspectice. That was DDB. Today, I think the trick is finding an agency who is trying to break out of channels that they're pigeon-holed in (digital) and are trying to get some above-the-line assignments too ("traditional"). Try some smaller shops, or agencies that have some "conquering" momentum like R/GA.
I believe they are, but hiring teams don't seem to think so since the strategies and landscape is different
Give it a little more time. Social is becoming more like traditional advertising as time goes on. People still act like it's something special. That thinking won't last much longer.
Why? Aren't the skills transferable?

@OP. - is it purely a SOC planner role you're looking at, or is it planning & activation?? Big learning curve for social activation strategies vs general brand planning that happens to include social as a channel
