Looking for some book recommendations :)
Hi guys,
Need help,I am joining VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.
So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?

Think they did a good job on this piece. It was a truly embarrassing moment for the firm, but I think it’s being handled as well as can be expected. Should go smoothly this year 🤞

As pwc1 said though it varies drastically with different projects
We have deliverables instead of busy seasons.
Most of Friday and certain holiday weeks
Nope but we gotta to do a lot of internal stuffs ‘voluntarily’
Naw not too bad, 45hrs/week, 95 utilization, wfh on average once a week
Probably matters what type of advisory?
I wfh almost every day
Big ol it depends. Some projects I can wfh almost every day. Other projects I'm traveling across the country every week. Same with hours per week. Some projects are a breeze, others blow up. Ends of projects are always busy to rush to meet the deadline. We have yearly utilization goals but no required 'busy season' type weekly goals. This is in tech consulting.
I wfh at least 2x a week. Very flexible, no true busy season
