Hello. My district is currently remote (virtual) and I am teaching a chemical reactions unit. Usually, this is a hands on unit. I cannot do hands-on labs for equity reasons. My district does not have subscriptions to any science lab simulation sites at the middle school level. We use the NGSS. We are standards based grading and I can only grade the stand MS-PS1-2. Anyone have suggestions on free simulations I can use? I teach synchronously to my students 2 classes (2 hours total ) each week.

Anyone have slow months where you burn through a lot of your allotted pro bono/professional development hours to keep hitting minimum daily hours? The past few weeks have been like this for me. Should I be concerned (I.e., will this reflect poorly on me, come review time? Will I have dug myself too much of a hole if I keep burning my non-billable hours?) I work as a Business Development Manager at a sports club.. I’ve been given a couple of months “trial” in the 6 figure and above sales in which I don’t see going back to my other role on lower sales.
