Folks who moved to brand side, which industry or company did you move to? How difficult/easy was it to transition?

Hi guys, i have been working as a Data Engineer from past 7 years. I have mostly worked on MSBI stack and also have fair experience in PBI. Now that most of the companies are moving towards cloud based technologies, could you help me with the right pathway going forward for better opportunities.

I've been interviewing with another company for about a month. The whole process has been 3 interviews over a months time. I have been in my current role over 6+ years (as HR mgr) and it's very transactional and not very strategic. The new company wants someone to lead a team from a senior level (HR Director) - what advice do you have for taking the next step in my career? I'm likely going to take the offer if it comes.

Is it true that less than 20% of engineers are women, even when there are so many programs specifically focused on getting females into STEM fields? It seems like it should be more evenly distributed

Have others found it hard to transition from Audit to Financial Analyst? All the recruiters I’m meeting with are telling me I probably won’t get an interview since they’re looking for someone who’s ready to hit the ground running.
It’s discouraging because I’m a fast learner, and from talking to my friends who are Financial Analysts, it doesn’t seem like what we do is so dissimilar.

I have 2+ years experience with Salesforce, before Salesforce I was a full-stack dev with some DevsOps experience. I worked for Finance Services and Oil & Gas companies. Right now, I wanted to make a switch to Aviation, Aerospace or Defense company. I’m in Texas, specifically Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. I currently work in Private (GA) Aviation & have for some time (about 12 years) I’m currently making the switch to the Department of Aviation and am unsure if I should ditch my current job (in private) and go full force with the DOA & embrace this new opportunity educationally and gather as much experience as I can or keep both jobs even though I’d be working 80hr weeks.. I love the private world but am really ready to move up. I don’t know what I should do. Any suggestions?

Is 7 weeks too early to start thinking I may have made a huge mistake in switching to my current gig? Anyone else finding it very difficult to get any enjoyment out of account management these days? Any coping tips?
