So I just recently passed my CPA exams and I’m now looking for new opportunities. I’m hoping to work at a big 4 firm in tax and possibly connect with anyone working there right now. Please reach out to me, I would look forward to connecting and learning more about potential opportunities. Thanks!EY PwC Deloitte KPMG
Hi folks, how is thoughtworks as an organisation?
Asking because I don't know much about it and have received recruiter's call today. Currently I am working in Deloitte. How is thoughtworks hikes, wlb, does it provide any benefits apart from fixed pay? My research gives me a mixed review: some say it's good, some say that thoughtworks is not stable enough like big 4 or other organisations. Pls help Thoughtworks Deloitte

I’m a BDO boomerang. I did my two weeks out of respect for my colleagues and to wrap up work that couldn’t be easily transferred over to another senior.
At the time I didn’t plan on coming back to BDO but ultimately did. Saying this because you never know if the grass you’ve chosen will be greener. You also don’t know if some of your BDO colleagues will go on to join or start other companies. Leaving on good terms is the best way to go in my opinion, even the notice period seems painfully long.

Depends on the office/region….Ding Dong Demong would stuff you in the garbage can and bring you to the curb the same day to save a nickel.
I’ve left KPMG twice and Deloitte once . The first time I left KPMG, I was moving halfway across the country and I did not work the two weeks (was paid to stay home). When I left Deloitte, I was asked to work the two weeks, even though I was going to a competitor across the street. And then when I left KPMG the second time they had me work the weeks.
All of this to say that I don’t think the policy is consistently applied across the industry or even across the same firm. But yes, it is possible they will have you stay home and get paid to not work to avoid having any possible security risk of you being in the office. But. I think it is equally possible they will have you work your two weeks and transition things over.
Resigned from RSM to big 4 and did my 2 weeks
Did my two weeks. I think most partners are professional enough to understand it’s a business decision and also need that time to shift the work over.
