Off topic: I am stuck in a service based company for last 4 years in a shitty project. The work I do can be done by a 12th grader. Now i want to move out by learning something new & changing my domain. But the thing is I am not able to study because I am stuck in a comfort zone and learning new thing gives me bad anxiety. It feels like I will never learn & be forever stuck here. Pls help on how to come out of comfort zone, learn things and apply for the job. Tata Consultancy Infosys Wipro

Judgmental how? I don’t think lawyers are generally happy when someone leaves, including for a non-practicing role.
I think when people leave for other fields it makes others question their own career choice and they project that onto you.
Most people aren’t willing to do something a little risky. Legal recruiting is also a little stigmatized in some ways Bc of the sales aspect and the amount of bad recruiters we interact with but you just have to remind yourself you’re going to be one of the good ones and that you have your reasons why this is the best fit for you. You can’t outsource your career choices to others. Remind yourself of why law is not a fit for you. And worst case scenario, it might be hard, but you can come back to law in some capacity even if not big law (which you already didn’t like presumably).
Sounds like jealousy to me
Don’t worry - you’ll have better work life balance and a higher salary in recruiting
*Most* recruiters don’t many more than most attorneys… but some recruiters absolutely take it in, for sure. I’d kill to be in the top 10% of recruiter commission.
They hate you cause they ain’t you
I wish I was you, so do they. Misery loves company—you are no longer apart of that company. Happy for you!! It’s you’re life, let that sh*t go!
It was honestly the worst experience of my life! I felt like an extended warranty salesman. Went back to practicing and now more thankful for my degree.
I don’t want to say the agency but it was one of rhe big churn and burn ones.
